Barcelona Port hotel

BCN port is great little find, it looks nothing from the outside but when you get in its clean and friendly. 8 of us stayed in quad rooms which were ideal, and the beds got made every day & cleaned, the manager is very accomodating and let us keep our room on until 730pm as our flight was a late one. It was really quiet at night so you really could sleep all day if you wanted. The air con unit in the room was great very quiet so you could have it on all night seeing ad it was 31 deg, Choose room 21 for 4 people as there is more room in it than room 13.!

Top Tip

Mondos resaurant is great place at the port, overlooking all the boats, it turns into a swish club. Gruru bar off the rambla has great cheesy music for a hen do and you can get drinks for 5 euro if your cheeky. Drinks on the rambla is very expensive we paid 56 euro for 4 drinks and as there were 8 of us we only had one! but they were like triple shots and it is very touristy so I suppose they can charge whatever they like. Tour bus is great but take comfy walking shoes. The beach is not great, more like gravell and kills your feet but there are some great waves!

Don't bother with the beackfast option as it is limited to a crossant & drink & taken in a cafe under the Hotel

Top Tip

hard rock cafe at the top of the ramla is an excellent night out and the shopping center on the port is very good

We found this hotel very clean and sheets were cleaned every day even on a sunday. Staff were very friendly and recommended places to go and tips on personal safety.

The reception staff were extremely helpfull and full of good tips. They made 1 or 2 phone calls to check opening times for us etc. Very helpfull with advise on transport back to the airport. On arrival we had a minor inconvenience with our room which was quickly remedied by the staff. Rooms are not big but perfectly adequate and very clean. Metro 2-3 mins walk, bus stop outside the hotel.

Hotel is right at the bottom of La Rambla, by the port. The outside looks poor but inside the rooms are clean with basic amenities. Staff very helpful and friendly

Top Tip

Try Sinatras Restaurant - not cheap but gourmet dining experience. Try walking, you find many little alleys and bars etc just by getting lost. A must see is Park Guell - spectacular views over Barcelona
