With the advantages of an excellent situation next to the Cathedral of Barcelona, in the heart of the Gothic quarter, and 5 minutes away from both Catalunya square and Barcelona´s Harbor, it is the ideal starting point for your visit to the city. The Ramblas and the main museums (Museo Picasso, Museo Textil) may be found after a short and pleasant stroll, as well as the main monuments and commercial areas.

The Regencia Colon hotel was rennovated in 1999. The main building is a fairly standard block building housing a bar and breakfast room. The Restaurant "La Carabela" offers Mediterranean cuisine and is available to guests, it is housed in the Colon Hotel (sister hotel), just a few metres away from the Regencia. The hotel has a total of 52 rooms, all equipped with complete ensuite bathroom, hair dryer, safe-deposit box, mini bar, satellite TV, heating, air conditioning, and telephone with PC/modem connections. The hotel is a standard 3 star and it's strongest point is it's location right in front of the Catherdal.
