Brilliant location in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, 5 minutes' walk from the Ramblas. Average hotel which can represent really good value if service is less important and you are looking for a simple clean room.

the staff at the counter check-in could have been more welcoming... all delightful and very obliging... felt uneasy about the cleaning staff coming into our room while we were out ... I have not marked the service staff as I feel I should seperate the reception and room service which I would mark as 5... The lifeblood of any hotel is its staff.This hotel needs a transfusion.... On arrival, the Reception was manned by (we were told) an Italian. Whatever his nationality,frankly he was just plain rude.... The Staff were unfriendly... the receptionist was smoking and drinking at the Bar rather than attending to the customers... Not good customer care.... friendly. multi-lingual staff... staff exellent... Staff mostly unhelpful....
