The H10 Montcada is a relatively new hotel housed in a traditional building with 8 floors. Inside the hotel decor is modern, stylish and staff are friendly, attentive and very helpfulful of advice on what to see and do in the city, as well as some good tips on where to eat. The frontage of the hotel is glass and this leads into a medium sized lobby with the reception on the left and a good-sized seating area on the right, with a small bar at the end. The lobby floor is cream marble and walls are light brown/beige with mirrored columns running up to the ceiling. The seating area in the lobby has large comfortable soft green seats and is a good place to grab a refreshing drink after a long day of sightseeing. The rooms are generally small but very comfortable and well equipped and decorated. Two good features of the hotel are its rooftop terrace and jacuzzi open all year round. The H10 chain have some great little properties in Barcelona and they do go that little bit further to welcome you, most offering a refreshing glass of Cava on arrival/check in. This a stylish and welcoming 4 star hotel with a great location and with only 87 rooms there is opportunity for personal service.
