Friendly, efficient and helpful staff.
Bedrooms are very clean.
The pool is ideal after day of sightseeing.

Our Review

Housed in a traditional building, this 149 bedroom hotel offers modern accommodation, yet has retained some traditional features, providing a small insight to the building's history. The hotel boasts both good facilities and a great location, as it is only a few minutes' walk to Plaza Catalunya. General feedback has been that staff are friendly and efficient and that breakfast is a high point.

Only problem was our room must have been in an older part of the hotel and the air conditioning was not adquate ... excellent location made up for the small sized room... Ordinary rooms ... very nice room... we couldnt hear any noises from the busy La Rambla... Room first night terrible but was moved to a much nicer room for the remainder three nights.... Would have been nice to have a cd/stereo player in the room as well as the TV was only showing spanish channels. ... Slight problem with noise through the night - slamming doors and loud voices otherwise perfect... Some bedrooms have no outlook and could be depressing... Rooms are a bit dated and need a revamp especially the bathroom... although the hotel says it is air-conditioned, I had a couple of sleepless nights as not only did the hotel switch off it's air-conditioning but in fact turned on it's heating despite it being 20 degrees. Apparently each room does not have separate air-conditioning controls... ... Bedrooms smell very clean, possibly due to laminate floor covering... Our room was great but my brother had a single room which was very small and had no view. ... toweling robes and a selection of toiletries provided... request room on top floor with balcony... Did not offer iron or ironing board, for business travellers who do not want to pay for this service (overpriced) is very inconvenient....
