The room sizes are extremely small for a hotel of this star rating. The outlook from the small window looked out on a narrow lightwell. However these deficiencies were more than compensated by the excellent location. We stayed three nights. Breakfast food is excellent.

University metro stop is very close to the hotel.

Although the bedroom was on the small side and we had no view from our window, the hotel was of a good standard and more like a 4* hotel than its official 3*.Breakfast was the best we have had in any hotel we have ever stayed in.

Restaurants on La Ramblas are expensive but we found a restaurant a few minutes from the hotel and 30secs from La Ramblas called Julievert Meu which was of the best standard and very reasonable. Also Fresco was an excellent lunchtime stop with a massive salad bar and hot food,as much as you wish to eat for 10euros. On University Sq outside the hotel is the Old Heidelberg restaurant, serving local tapas and goulash - (very nice) with excellent service! Newly developed Port area and marina well worth exploring!

Great hotel and good value for money - excellent buffet breakfast!!! Great location for drop of by the airport bus - just 2 minutes walk from Plaza Universitat.

Top Tip
Loads to do all around - make sure you have good walking shoes. Definitely worth getting the tourist bus for the tour of Barcelona!!!
