Unfortunately our visit was spoilt by a disgusting bad egg smell in our en suite. We complained many times and a lady came to put something down the drains to mask the smell which worked only for a short time and the smell returned. we were only offered a change of room at checkout and were told by the person at reception that "he did not have the authority to do anything". Breakfast was also poor.
Top Tip
we recommend the city bus tours, both the red and blue routes.

The roof top pool area of the Lleo Hotel was a little haven of tranquillity in this bustling city.

We found a restaurant very close to the hotel called 'L'Oliva' on Carrer Jovellanos who served a lovely 3 course meal and a drink for about 16 euros each. My Mother is a coeliac and the staff were extremely helpful and understanding of her dietary needs.

This was my first stay in Barcelona and I was very impressed with the location of the hotel. It's always difficult making a choice about a hotel and I was please I made the right choice. It a very short stroll to the Ramblas and right on the Plaza Cataluyna. Would book again

If you are new to Barcelona, I recommend you take a trip on the offical tour bus. It takes you through all of the sights with excellent commentary and you can get on and off whenever you please. Very good value for money.

Fantastis location, just at the top of Las Ramblas.
As we requested a smoking room the room wasn't very special - we did have trouble with the smelly drain in the bathroom but spoke to reception who got it sorted straightaway. Also requested extra towel and pillow which they duly obliged.
Sufficient breakfasts, continental was good, english was quite cold.
Top Tip
Less than 5 mins walking distance to 'tourist bus'.
The restaurants on Las Ramblas are quite expensive, so try and find restaurants around the back streets. You need to look for them, but they're there.
Be prepared to take plenty of money with you, things aren't cheap. We found it easier to take just enough money out with us each day so if it got stolen it was only that's days money.
Didn't have any problems with 'pickpockets' although I saw quite a few victims.

Breakfast was good and the room was cleaned every day. Friendly staff. The pool on the roof was a bonus too. We would stay there again. Excellent location just a very short walk from the aerobus stop near the university.
Top Tip
To return to the airport catch the bus in Placa Cataluna near the large departmant store.
Bisbe tapas bar near the gothic cathedral served excellent tapas.

Definately have to go on an open top bus! The hotel will give you a discount card, maps etc. and you can pick them up from right outside. Best way to see the city!

You should add to your website that this hotel has a nice roof terrace with a swimming pool. We didn't realise this til we arrived and found it a really nice area for chilling out. Excellent Location, close to square and Rambles, but quiet too. Lovely big rooms, and bathroom and comfy beds. Good range of breakfast on the buffet, but if you like a traditional english breakfast, this is maybe not for you, as the selection was a little dissapointing. Rest of buffet was faultless, with cold meats and cheese, bread, toast, cereals, fruit, cakes and pastries, lots of coffee and juice.
