The location of the hotel is excellent...but it is ridiculously overpriced. Not worth the money you pay for the actual room, but the location is perfect.

I would recommend this hotel, but with reservations. The charm of old windows, that are not soundproofed, opening onto the balcony overlooking the lovely plaza has to be considered against the noise from the same square, especially whilst there is ongoing works to renovate the square. Visitors should also be warned of the crammped bathroom. The hotel is ideally placed for the connecting bus to the airport, the sightseeing bus and many cafe's and museums. We found the staff very helpful and the breakfast very good.

While I would recommend the hotel in itself, the price was way in excess of the facilities offered. This was due to a congress being held in the city at the time, with all hotel prices substantially inflated. The staff were helpful and cheerful, and the hotel basic but very clean. Ask for a room at the back away from the traffic - much quieter.

Top Tip
Watch out for pickpockets, especially in the side streets of Las Ramblas.
