Only one negative comment. We thought there were not enough staff on reception. However the service from the staff was good.
Would rather have had another chair in the room rather than an exercise bike!

Plenty to see and do in Barcelona.Take the bus tour for one day but otherwise the metro is cheap, clean and seemed efficient when we used it.
Hotel restaurant is reasonably priced but plenty of places to eat, especially at lunchtime, use the salad bar on the right as you leave the hotel, not the tapas bar but the next one. All you can eat for 8 euros 95 or 11euros 20 in the evening

Previous comments persuaded us to book the Mont Blanc.
We were not dissapointed.
Can recommend to all independent travellers.

Two days on tourist bus well worthwhile. Tip: start fairly early to avoid long queue at bus stop.

British/Irish travellers love a cup of tea in the morning at breakfast but there never seemed to be enough hot water, nor staff available to provide it on request. Buffet excellent. A hotel with a very efficient service. Reception staff all have very good English, and are all very helpful. The hotel is quiet at night, rooms are spacious and air conditioned.
Top Tip
An alternative to walking Las Ramblas to the Port,is to walk along the Via Laietana, turning right as you come out of the hotel. There are interesting things to see: Arc De Triomph, Cathedral square, McCarthy's Irish bar. You can take a lift inside the Columbas monument up to his feet to the viewing tower for wonderful bird's eye views of the port.

We ate our evening meal one
time only in the restaurant and were very disappointed, it was cold, quantity very little.and the lamb was almost all fat, roast peppers
very sparse. so would not
recommend eating there.
Top Tip
lots of historical buildings,
recommend the open top bus tours. plenty of good restaurants. just have to
shop around as they are very pricey.

It is a really pleasant hotel -the only thing I think should be mentioned is that the pool is very small and not on the roof and so loses the sun after 5pm ish!
Top Tip
Loads to see and do in Barcelona - trip to Olympic stadium and museum very interesting, eating out near the ramblas very expensive. The Pizza Milano ( like Pizza Express) was ideal for us with three children. Food and service were excellent. Be aware of pick pocketers on the ramblas whilst you are absorbed in all the entertainment. Shopping fantastic.
