the hotel advertised free wireless access and when we got there they said it didnt work in the rooms which isn't good enough. also it obvious that they don't have their own wireless access and that they just feed off the places beside them as every time you asked which to connect to they would tell you a different network depending on who was working there. one of the networks we had to connect to was the restaurant next door. this was confirmed as the network was called "schilling" as was the restaurant. a hotel advertising wireless internet should have security enabled network of their own which goes too all parts of the hotel rather than feeding off the networks around them. also the day staff were lovely but the staff there after 8ish weren't so nice. they were rude when you asked questions, weren't very helpful and were more interested in talking on the phone and watching tv. i also booked a double room and when we got there it was 2 beds pushed together which isn't a double bed in my opinion. if it wasn't for the location i wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone and it was also very clean which was down to the cleaning staff not the staff at the desk. All in all the location is great for sight seeing, eating out and partying!

Top Tip
There are loads of restaurants and bars nearby. If you want a break from spanish food you could go to the Irish Bar Flaherty's which serves every type of food! it has a great menu. There is a lovely restaurant on the square just across the road from the hotel.

Very small room, but very clean with an exellent maid service. The location was really good, central to the gothic area of the city. Central location easy access to all parts of the city

Hotel was OK...very basic and I was a little unhappy as I had booked a double room and we were given a twin room instead. We pushed the beds together and it was fine but a little annoying. Room was small and quite hot at night - I did have to ask twice for air conditioning to be turned on. I would recommend it for its great location but its definitely not for people who want to hang around the hotel.

Top Tip
The hotel is in a superb location at the very heart of the action - 2 minutes from the Ramblas, just on the edge of the Barri Gotic.

The service was really bad and the amount what I payed for four nights was wasy too much.. I kept on telliong staff about change of bed, aiconditionaning,, but nothing was done for 4 days.. Break fast was poor.. There was no cold water facility in the hotel..A lot of people were complaining... Facilities were not that good at all.. Ai conditionaning was not working.. I payed for two Three tripple rooms but unfortunately was gicen a chuldrens un comfortable bed with which we all got bad back...

WEll be aware of pick pockets and local pedestrians.. REsturants and cafe bars are within walking distance of 5 minutes.. TRy to explore as much as you can..

Hotel is in a noisy location but most noise is from hotel cleaners who start cleaning rooms at a ridculously early time and make a great deal of noise. Rooms do not have any chairs.

Plenty to see and do within walking distance.

The hotel was clean in an ideal place for sightseeing. The breakfast was adequate and the receptionist very helpful. The only black mark was that the en-suite door wopuld not shut. This was reported but as we were only two nights there it was not repaired for us. We did manage and it did not detract from our stay in Barcelona.
