Although advertised as an Hotel, it was in fact a Hostel. This was misleading as I would have been reluctant to book a Hostel. Although the accommodation was adequate it was not what I expected.

Make sure the Hotel is not a Hostel if you want hotel facilities.

The hotel was close to the port and La Ramblas - easy walk. It was clean and not dated. The room was small. The breakfast was basic continental but enough. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Top Tip
Restaurants on La Ramblas are very expensive but local eateries on the Parallel Avenue where this hotel is situated were cheaper and had good food. Enjoy the street artists and performers on La Ramblas at night!

We had a room facing east towards the park and roundabout, which was noisy, but the sun rising through the palm trees was a nice way to start the day..... Reception was most helpful and gave good tips, especially the best Tapas Bars in Barcelona...

For a truly fantastic dining experience in Barcelona go to Los Caracoles (Calle Escudellers 14) in the Gothic Quarter. A unique restaurant (you need to walk through the bar and the kitchen to get to the dining area!) packed with traditional charm. Great atmosphere, service and food. The menu offers a wide selection of choice - fish/seafood, paella, roast chicken, partridge, rabbit and their specialty - snails. I had the salted cod with cannellini beans. Cooked to perfection and very tasty. A little on the expensive side but well worth it in my opinion.

Very pleased with the hotel which easily compares with 3* hotels. Everything very clean. 24 hour reception. Breakfast for 7 Euros is well worth the money. Two floors with lift. Locked luggage storage room supervised by reception.

Top Tip
We were not sure about the location but it is ideal. Overlooks the cruise ship arrival berths. 2 minute walk from Sea-front, Ramblas, Taxi Rank, and Tour Buses. Take warnings about pick-pockets seriously and do not put purses or bank cards in zip up rucksacks.
