The bedroom was awful and dates and looked on to a brick wall ans other bedroom windows so you has to keep the curtain drawn permanently. The toilet was broken and away from the wall and leaking. The breakfast was OK but assistance was poor.

Top Tip
hard rock cafe a must. Go left out of the hotel and left at the top of the street for about 150 mtrs. The bus tours are a must (21 euros per person 1 day) and the airport bus is just at the top of the street in the main square (5 euros per person so don't book a taxi!

My son said the hotel was fantastic. He had a suite with separate lounge, bedroom and ensuite on 4th floor overlooking Avenida Portal de L'angel shops. He really enjoyed two great breakfasts of bacon and eggs, and the pool was really nice as well. The hotel was easy for him to find from the airport bus and very central. He loved his stay.

We were surprised by the hotel's excellent location but amazingly quiet, rooms and dining terrace. The interior is lovely, modern, quiet and cool (but hallways need paint-what's up with that?) Sleek vibe in public spaces. It seemed that local businessmen and women chilled in the shady and secluded restaurant terrace for bar and tapas service as much as we did. It's like an oasis in the busy central location.

Top Tip
Strike out in almost any direction, along the wide or narrow pedestrian streets and you will find everything within walking distance.

Great location, very central to major attractions. Friendly helpful staff and breakfast very good.

Top Tip
Apart from the must do stroll down La Rambla a trip on the tourist bus is a great way to see the city in a short period of time.

There were cockroaches in our room. They were running over our bed! We asked to move rooms and they told us they didn't have another room. We had to insist we weren't staying in the hotel with cockroaches and they eventually moved us to another hotel. They tried to get us to pay for the taxi to the other hotel. The next hotel was fine but we had additional travel costs due to the location being away from where we wanted to stay.

Top Tip
Don't book at the Hotel Catalonia Albinoni Hotel as they have cockroaches.

There were 5 of us staying at the hotel. 4 of us had coffee making facilities in the room which were great - I didn't and didn't like to ask in case I was charged 20 euros per day. Safe - as it seemed expensive for 5 people (40 euros deposit and 5 euros per day). We shared one safe between the 5 of us.

Top Tip
Le Quinze Nits - just off la Ramblas is excellent. You will know which restaurant it is as there is a queue outside.

excellent location,however room had no view,just a window looking out into a lightwell.Be very carefull where you leave your money,USE THE SAFE.
