The location of this hotel is perfect for people intending to do a cruise from Barcelona. Literally a 5 minute walk gets you to the shuttle bus. The hotel also allows one to store their luggage at the hotel when returning from the cruise, until it is time to leave for the airport. Also an ideal location for sightseeing. No bar, or restaurant, but with so many nearby, this is not a problem.
Top Tip
Barcelona offers the traveller more sights to see then most other venues, such as Paris, London, NY, etcetara. Gaudi architecture, Picasso, or just to ramble down the Rambla.

One week at the Medinaceli Hotel, I feel the hotel to be a four star I don't know where they got this rating from. Breakfast the same every day, no hospitality tray in room or even an iron.
Top Tip
Watch out for the homeless sleeping in the parl across the road from the hotel and nearby doorways.

Great location to the Rambla for its fun, food and entertainment.
For cruising passengers, your hotel is perfectly located to walk for a shor cab ride to ships.

Within an easy walk of the Drassanes metro stop and in a quiet little square close to the Ramblas, this hotel is in a great location esp if you don't know the city well.

didn't eat there so can't comment.
I should add that although I didn't find staff particularly friendly I cannot speak Spanish or Catalan and so was expecting them to speak English
Top Tip
Casa Batllo well worth the cost
Eating on the Rambla is pricey and not always brilliant
Be prepared to walk for miles. Everything is so accessible by foot.
Get into the centre by train. It is so easy and sooo much cheaper!!!
