The Mont Blanc Hotel is one of our favourite properties in Barcelona due to its facilities, comfort and location. It is a member of the HCC chain of hotels, which specializes in Barcelona. Other hotels that belong to the chain are the Regente, the Open, the Sant Moritz, the Taber and the Covadonga. HCC stands for Hoteles Centro Ciudad (hotels in the centre of the city.) The Montblanc is the newest and most modern addition. It opened in 2003. The exterior of the property is modern and as soon as you enter the lobby the overall effect is impressive. It is appointed in excellent quality cream coloured marble and a small seating area that consists of two sofas and a glass table is situated to the right side of the reception desk. Also to the right side of the reception desk, guests will find the Restaurant Gaudi, which serves buffet breakfasts, lunch and dinner. While walking to the restaurant you cannot help but notice the colourful floor, decorated with blue and white waves, that creates a Mediterranean feel. You will also notice a set of spiral stairs that lead to the patio and the swimming pool area. The Montblanc is a good modern 3 star hotel providing guests with a healthy range of facilities in a very central location.
